It queries through read-only tools: SELECT statements only, with a time limit and a row cap, and it never writes.
We also work on a replica of your database, so your live system doesn't feel the load of the queries, and the connection runs over a private network or an SSH tunnel, with no exposed ports and named access per device.
You take everything with you: a full export of the data warehouse and the documentation for every metric, in an open format. And it's built on Postgres, standard SQL, and containers, so you're not locked into any technology of ours.
